PART 1 GENERAL

1.03 SUBMITTALS
A. Changes in specifications may not be made after the published date of bid. All submittals of substitutions must be approved before bid date.
B. Shop drawings of "Secure Wall" and gates with all dimensions, details, and finishes. Drawings must include post foundations.
C. Product data: Manufacturer’s catalog cuts indicating material compliance and specified options.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 MANUFACTURER
A. Products from qualified manufacturers must have five years or more experience manufacturing hot dipped galvanized panels will be considered by the architect as equal if approved In writing 10 days prior to bidding, and they meet all specifications for design, size gauge of metal parts and fabrication.

2.02 16 GA. GALVANIZED STEEL PANELS (See drawing for panel selections.)
A. Galvanized Steel Panels
B. Size: Pre-cut to height of 6,8,10,12,16 feet [as indicated on drawings], 16,18,20 Gauge
C. Shape: Galvanized panels to be 4" ribbed in design
2.03 STEEL FENCE FRAME MEMBERS
A. Square Pipe coated inside and outside by hot dipped methods. Minimum 1.8 oz/ft. (55 g/m2) of surface.
B. Steel pipe - Type II: Cold formed and welded steel pipe complying with ASTM F 1043, Group IC, sizes as indicated. Protective coating per ASTM F 1043, external coating Type B, zinc with organic overcoat, 0.9 oz/ft² minimum zinc coating with chromate conversion coating and verifiable polymer film. Internal coating Type B, minimum 0.9 oz/ft² zinc or Type D, zinc pigmented 81% nominal coating, minimum 3 mils thick.
C. End and Corner Post - 3” O.D. Square
Line (intermediate) Post - 3" O.D. Square
Support Rails - 1-1/2" O.D. Square
2.05 SECURITY TOP
A. Post caps: Steel, cast iron or aluminum alloy; must be weatherproof to prevent moisture intrusion into post. Top with arm to be provided when barbed wire is specified.
B. Barbed wire: Galvanized coated, Type A, double strand, 12-1/2 gauge, twisted line wire with, 4 point barbs, spaced approximately 5" on center.
C. Barbed wire supporting arms: Custom fabricated arms with provisions for attaching 6 rows of barbed wire. Arms shall withstand 500 lb. (113.5 kg) downward pull at outermost end of arm without failure.
D. 6-Strand barb to be topped with 18" circular Razor ribbon (minimum 8' high)
2.06 SETTING MATERIALS
A. Concrete: Minimum 28 day compressive strength of 3,000 psi (20 MPa).
PART 3 EXECUTIONS
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify areas to receive fencing are completed to final grades and elevations.
B. Property lines and legal boundaries of work to be clearly established by the general contractor or property owner.
3.02 "SECURE WALL" FENCE SYSTEM POST AND RAIL INSTALLATION
A. Install "Secure Wall" fence system in accordance with ASTM F 567.
B. Space end, corner, and line posts at equal distance 6' maximum center to center of posts.
C. Set all posts in concrete. (Minimum 14" x 42" footings)
D. Check each post for vertical and top alignment.
E. Securely weld all support rails at bottom, middle, and top on all applications 6' high and over.
3.03 "SECURE WALL" FENCE SYSTEM PANEL INSTALLATION
A. Galvanized Panels: Panels are to be welded equally to bottom, middle, and top support rails. All panels are to overlap each other 2" for secure finish.
B. Attach Special barb arms every 10’ on 3” post.
C. Install barb wire and razor ribbon (optional)
3.04 CLEANING
A. Clean up debris and remove from the site.
